Salat: The Most Important صِلة
In this fast-paced worldly life where we are constantly expected to be more, do more, and have more…we easily get absorbed into it. We often forget to pause and work on the relationship that matters most in this life…our relationship with Allah ﷻ.
One of the building blocks of this relationship is our Salat. A conscious effort we make 5 times a day to answer the calls, to prove to Allah ﷻ that we want to connect with Him and obey Him.
Most of the environments around us these days are very far from religion, which often makes us feel like strangers. We might feel odd when we pray in public, ask to change an outings' timing when it coincides with prayers' timings, and try to organize an outing in places that have prayer areas.

Are we the odd ones for prioritizing our relationship with the Most High?
Are we really the odd ones for wanting to please Him and attain what He promised us?
Allah ﷻ says in the Quran:
"Indeed, those who believe, do good, establish prayer, and pay alms-tax will receive their reward from their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve."
— Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:277
Allah ﷻ promises us in the Quran that we will receive reward from Him, will not be afraid in the akhirah, and will not be sad for what we missed from the Dunya — as long as we do what He mentioned in the verse…which included Salat.
Worldly possessions, ambitions, and turmoils are never ending. However, reminding yourself that the Akhirah matters more than everything in this world combined makes prioritizing Salat much easier.
Always remember that your Salat is your صِلة with Allah ﷻ, and it is worth prioritizing…above everything else.
